Preparation in Silence:<\/strong><\/em>
Jesus does not just say, \u2018Believe me,\u2019 but rather, \u2018Follow me.\u2019 If we are going to pursue God\u2019s call, it\u2019s an act of trusting and following \u2013 of behaving and living in ways that reflect our life and purposes. We aren\u2019t saved by our actions, but we are saved for our actions to become those that make God\u2019s life in Jesus Christ visible.<\/em><\/p>~ Mark Labberton<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It may be possible for each to think too much of his own potential glory hereafter; it is hardly possible for him to think too often or too deeply about that of his neighbor. The load, or weight, or burden of my neighbor\u2019s glory should be laid on my back, a load so heavy that only humility can carry it, and the backs of the proud will be broken. It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare.
